Biography

I have always had an interest in art, while growing up I enrolled in every arts or crafts type program available to me.  In the early 1980's a friend invited me to go with her to attend "Tole Country" in Oklahoma City.  I WAS HOOKED !!!!!        I began painting from books and taking classes at "Tole Country" and the SDP National Conventions.  I also began taking seminars from other artists.  In 1989 I taught my first class.  Currently, I teach locally, at National and Mini Conventions, and also travel teach.
My first piece published in "The Decorative Painter" was in 1993.   In 1996 I was Certified as a Decorative Artist, by the "National Society of Tole and Decorative Painters".    1997 was the year I launched my business "LONG LASTING EXPRESSIONS".    In 1999 I had the honor of being selected as the Convention Artist for the SDP National Convention. In 2001, I was invited to exhibit at the "Artists of the World Exhibition" in Tokyo, Japan.  2002 has already brought with it the launching of my web site, and the release of my first book.

Decorative Painting and the wonderful people involved in the industry, have changed my life.  I would like to take this opportunity the THANK MY STUDENTS, I hope that you enjoy taking my classes as much as I enjoy painting with each of you.
